Dave Maskew

Hello. I’m Dave. Late comer to the team, the tower2tower challenge was mentioned to me by my wife, and having been after an excuse to buy a new bike for ages, I found myself saying yes!

I am an ex-MTBer, and spent most of my teenage years/early twenties throwing myself down any mountain sides I could find, but haven’t been on a road bike since I was a kid. There’s not much difference right? I think I have been voted most likely to break my bike.

Since signing up, I have been training like crazy. I am determined to keep up with the others, as my sense of direction is so bad, if I get left behind I may end up on the Isle of Wight.

Seriously though, I am really looking forward to the challenge, getting fit again and hopefully raising shed loads of money for two fantastic charities.
