I’m the only lass in the group of Paris bound cyclists. I signed up initially on a promise of my own body weight in Curly Wurlys, but they appear to have been removed from the deal.

Of course that’s a fib, there are a few reasons why I asked if I could join. My interest in biking is part of a general scheme of trying to get fit again which began in mid-2009. I have had a life-long mild bike obsession from childhood, recently rekindled by participation in the Manchester to Blackpool ride last year. I love a challenge and the idea of travelling long distances with me as the only engine. Importantly though, it’s all about raising money for Fanconi Hope.

A Felt Z80. The wheels will be upgraded before the ride, probably the handlebars too.
